Remember, remember – its the time of the year to wrap up warm and head over to Limekiln Lane to celebrate Guy Fawkes Night with your sparklers and toffee apples!
The fireworks will be flying overhead Friday night and the Bridlington Lions Club are once again putting on a spectacular show for the town.
The Lions Club bonfire will be lit at 7pm on the Limekiln Lane car park with fireworks starting at 7.30pm.
There is a larger spectator area this year, and limited free parking.
Admission is unchanged this year – with adults charged £2.50 and children under 16 being admitted for free.
Refreshments and novelties will be on sale, with hot dogs, burgers, tea and coffee available, alongside lightup wands and other items.
There will also be a tombola run by the Lions.
The Lions have also made a special request to those who watch the event outside the charged for areas on Limekiln Lane and the cliff top.
Peter Jay from the Lions Club said “We need to pay for the fireworks which are quite expensiveto buy each year. We would be very grateful if everyone could make a small donation towards the fireworks show, so we can continue to provide the entertainment next year.”
“Members of the Lions Club and the Round Table will be easily spotted Friday night after the display with dayglow jackets and collection buckets!
“Please give generously if you can help us provide this charity and community event each year.”
Members of the public or commercial companies can also drop off timber for the bonfire on Friday morning.
The delivery time is strictly between 8am and 11am Friday morning at Limekiln Lane.
