Bridlington Lions Club were left some legacy monies during the Lion Year up to July 2012. Part of those funds has enabled us to donate £2000 to 5 Bridlington surgeries to be used for improving their services to the local community. The respective surgeries have decided to use these funds as follows:
Manor House Surgery – a Microlab MK8 Spirometer to help diagnose patients with Asthma and COPD together with some items of IT hardware to assist in the training of medical students. (DR Rolan Schreiber present)
Field House Surgery – Improvements to their WATSON Family Centre which enables health care professionals to help patient relationships through care and attention plus an intention to be able to increase Women’s Health and Sexual Health Clinics.
Medical Centre Station Avenue –
Practice ONE – upgrade to the Practice Nurse’s room which is in need of washing and cleaning facilities upgraded to be able to comply with HTM64 regulations.
Practice TWO – the purchase of Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitor and Digital Voice Recording equipment.(Dr Mike Hardman present)
Practice THREE – purchase of a Spirometer (similar to Manor House Surgery) to be used for patient lung function checks and diagnosis of asthma/chronic lung disorders.
