Bridlington Lions provide a transport service for hospital visiting and help local groups, like local community groups, retirement homes, scout and guide groups, local schools and many other worthy local causes.
Each year Bridlington Lions donates money to many local causes in the community. These donations are given to other voluntary organisations and individuals within the community. The Lions also support the Lions International appeals for assistance which may include earthquakes, floods and other natural disasters.
One of the charitable functions that the Lions perform is collection of spectacles from opticians around the town. These glasses are often used in other countries around the world in places where eye care is often out of reach or too expensive for the people to afford.
The Lions also visit elderly people in the community and run social evenings as well as day outings.
Lions raise funds to help and assist others by raffling Easter eggs in pubs and hotels around Bridlington. A Soft Toy Tombola stall is run during the Summer season on the sea front.
This year we shall once again be holding our free Christmas Concert in the Spa Royal Hall.
The Bridlington Lions Annual Carnival Fun Day held on the cliff top between Limekiln Lane and Sewerby is one of the main events to be held during August on the Yorkshire Coast.
