Soon to be updated with this years results…….
Last year saw the launch of a new joint venture between Bridlington Lions Club and North Wolds Lions Club – a photographic competition for primary schools in Bridlington and the surrounding area.
The competition for 2012 has just started with classes of Year 6 pupils from local schools taking part. Each class is given disposable cameras and asked to take up to 48 photographs, the subject being “Nature”. Once handed in the cameras are then sent for processing after which the photographs are returned to the schools and the pupils asked to select what they thought were the best six pictures. Judging then determines the winner and runners-up.
Last year’s winner was Burlington Junior School with runners up Burton Agnes CEVC Primary School and New Pasture Lane Primary School. All the schools who took part in the competition receive a Certificate of Achievement, and the eight schools who were not placed receive a small lion as a consolation prize.
