Lions give Christmas Dinner to the Elderly

On Saturday 28th November at St Johns Burlington Church, over eighty of Bridlington’s elderly
residents sat down to a Christmas dinner. Our Bridlington Lions Club provided transport for many of the elderly to attend. Entertainment was provided by Geoff Broadway, a man with a very controlled and relaxing singing voice, sang many of the songs loved by the elderly. He encouraged them all to join in, which they did.

Two short quiz’s and two raffles also formed part of the afternoons entertainment. A parcel of biscuits was given to all that attended which was greatly appreciated. A sincere thank you was given to Geoff Broadway, helpful members of SJB, and all the Lions that attended, by President of Bridlington Lions Club, Lion Gordon Boyes.
