Bridlington Lions Carol Concert 2016

Once again, the annual Lions Christmas Carol Concert was held at the Bridlington Spa on Monday 12th December 2016.

The audience were greeted in the foyer by Lions members and Bridlington 252 Squadron Air Cadets. As many as 2000 Lion Club supporters were transported to the Bridlington Spa for the free event by coaches from all around the district. The main hall and balcony were full and after the event it was very pleasing to be told how much everyone had enjoyed themselves.

The evening was amusingly compered by Lion John Hall who lead the community singing and told some very funny jokes and stories.

The Driffield Silver Band, Coastal Voices, Emmie Beckitt and the wonderful Burlington Junior School Choir were extremely entertaining on stage with some fabulous music and beautiful singing.

A raffle was held; the prizes consisted of three huge hampers of Christmas gifts made up by Reena Scrowston, sister of the Bridlington Lions Secretary.

A vote of thanks was given to all those that helped with the evening by Bridlington Lions President, Ray Pollard.

The Bridlington Lions Club would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
