Bridlington Rangers Retain Title

Bridlington Rangers

Bridlington Rangers

Following last year’s victory, the Bridlington Rangers under 13s were invited to represent Bridlington Lions Club at the annual five-a-side football competition at the Thorpe Willougby Sports Centre near Selby.

Rangers battled their way through to the final, conceding only one goal on the way.

That was having lost goalkeeper Liam Gulc who ended up in Hull Royal Infirmary after the second game with an eye injury.

He stayed in hospital for a few days, but all involved with the Lions and Rangers wish him a speedy recovery.

Rangers went on to meet Dunscroft Welfare Blues in the final and a 2-0 win saw them retain the title.

Team: Liam Gulc, Jacob Boreman, Nathan Pickering, Harvey Slater, Tom Coates, Chris Causier, Ben Ibson and James Cockerill.

Bridlington Lions were proud of the team’s achievement and thanked the managers Scott Boreman, Neil Causier and Zena Boreman for their hard work and dedication.
