Carol Concert 2012

This year there was not an empty seat at the Spa for our Lions Christmas concert. Entertainment was provided by the Driffield Silver Band, Bridbeat and the Burlington Junior School Choir, all three were given a wonderful reception.

The audience enjoyed exercising their lungs with some community carol singing, the words been displayed on two large screens at either side of the stage under the control of Lion David Atkinson.  Lion John Hall was MC for the evening introducing our featured artists and also entertained us with some very funny jokes and anecdotes. He even conducted the Lions Choir !!

At the end of the evening. Three huge hampers were the prizes for the raffle.

Our Lion Alfie made an appearance and was much loved by all, especially the children. Many people arrived in coaches provided by the Bridlington Lions Club. Admission was free, but as usual the audience were very generous with their donations. We look forward to 2013 and our next concert.

We would like to thank everyone the performers and audience who gave their full support to this annual event.

Don’t forget – come and see Santa at the Promenades Shopping Centre in Bridlington.
