Christmas in the Promenades

Yorkshire Coast Radio with DJ Dex, Richard Griffin and  Tom Hooper helped create a day to remember at the Promenades Shopping Centre in Bridlington.

Bridlington Town Council did a great job pulling together a great day of entertainment in town with Burlington Junior School, Hilderthorpe School, Headlands School, Bridlington Girls Choir, Elvis impersonator Steve Caprice and the cast from Beauty and the Beast Panto.

Yorkshire Coast Radio provided continuity between the entertainment. The Mayor Michael Charlesworth presented the choirs taking part with a certificate of appreciation.

Joining Bridlington Girls Choir, the Town Crier, David Hinde sang Any Dream Will Do. I am not sure that he needed a microphone.

We were also joined by Cyril and Gaz the Bridlington Gulls, Eryc and Eryca, a ginger bread man, DJ Dex and Love Crew from Yorkshire Coast Radio.

Santa was listening to requests from small children about what they would like for Christmas.

Following Headlands School Choir the Town Crier led a parade to switch on the Christmas tree lights on King Street.
