JOB DONE!
In 2017 to mark 100 years of Lionism, Lions Clubs International Launched a project to Planr one million trees as part of a world wide environmental objective. Bridlington Lions Club’s contribution to the Lions International project to plant a million trees. was done over a five year period, with the planting of 300 saplings of 10 different species, including English Oak to Blackthorn, Hornbeam and Sycamore on the cliff top, north of Brdlington. This was followed recently by the planting of a further 280 trees
Lioins clubs all over the world continue to support this project by continuing to plant trees as one of the five main objectives of Lions which is “Protecting the Environmemt”
Another example of Lions serving their community and the planet.
